High School Volunteer Internships
Grades 11-12
Minimum age 16. Minimum age 17 for riding interns

Get ready for an exciting summer as a Sealth staff member! If you are a high school junior and senior (or will be next fall) with leadership experience, you can apply to be an intern for part of the summer at Sealth.

After completing a required training program (June 27-July 3), interns can assist cabin counselors, riding staff, or program specialists as “junior” staff members. Counseling interns will plan the session with the kids and their counselor, help with group living situations, lead activities, and do some of the paperwork, too. Riding interns work with the horse program—assisting with lessons, trail rides and caring for the horses. Interns working in a specialty area such as crafts or the waterfront assist the program specialists with prep work and teaching. Upon successful completion of a training session, you can choose to work up to three more sessions, depending on Sealth’s need for interns (varies by year).

Requirements
Interns must be at least 16 years of age before their training session begins and have the necessary skills and leadership background to be hired. Riding interns must be 17 years of age. For more information, call Camp Sealth at 206 463 3174, ext. 35.

To Apply
Completion of one or two years of Sealth’s CIT or RSIT program is not necessary, but is recommended. Acceptance is based on qualifications, an interview and background check. To apply for a high school internship, download and complete a staff application form, three reference forms, and a criminal background check form from the seasonal employment page, and mail all forms to Camp Sealth.
