Check out all of the programs below to find one that is just right for your child. Specialty Camps offer a chance for kids to specialize in something they’re really excited about – like archery, crafts or science. Depending on the camp, you’ll focus on the specialty activity for about half the day. Classic Camp is traditional camping – your child’s cabin will plan their own session based on what they want to do, and try out a little of everything camp has to offer!
Grades 1-6
Classic Camp - A little bit of everything!
Amazing, caring counselors, lots of new friends, crazy songs and wacky theme meals, exploring the outdoors, creativity, new adventures, independence and great memories! Classic Camp is all about what you want to do. Kids are involved in planning their week as soon as they arrive at camp – the possibilities are endless! Try some of everything camp has to offer in Classic Camp.
Grades 1-3
Explore the wonders of nature – play on the beach, build sand castles, skip rocks, and go fishing, swimming or rowing. Take a hike to visit Uncle Wigglebottom’s cabin in the woods, go berry-picking, play games, make a craft project or sleep out under the stars.
Grades 4-6
Camp is all about making friends and trying new things! Activities expand for older campers – you could try archery, canoeing and team-building activities, learn to cook out over a fire or camping stove, or go on an overnight campout in the woods.

Archery
Sessions 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8
Grades 5 - 6
Lots of shooting and archery games highlight this popular program. Spend two hours each day on the range practicing your shot with skilled archery instructors. Decorate a quiver and take home your own set of arrows. Your cabin could also choose the option of a campout on the archery range! For all levels of archers.

Crafts
Sessions 4, 7 Grades 4 - 6
Tie-dye, candlemaking, decoupage, hemp, batik, bead jewelry, ceramics, glass etching and mosaic tiles are just a few of the options for crafts campers. Do a new project or two each day, and take your work home with you! More details...
Intro to Outback
Session 2 Grades 3 - 5
Sleep out under the stars! In this introductory Outback program,learn about camping, how to pack a backpack, cook meals outdoors and connect with nature through sensory awareness activities.
Mystery
Session 8 Grades 4 - 6
Special Assignment: We need your help to solve the great Tajar mystery! Become a camp sleuth - follow clues, use fingerprint and handwriting analysis and more forensics to solve the case.
Outback
Sessions 3,4,6,8 Grades 4 - 6
If you love hiking, camping and cooking out, Outback is the
place for you! Every day is a new adventure in the woods;
learn wilderness skills by camping out at primitive campsites
each night. Build shelters, learn to use a compass, make fire
using a bow drill or flint & steel and learn to cook your
own meals.

Session 7 Grades 4 - 6
It’s time to get wet & wild! Spend the week in and on the water – go swimming and fishing on Sealth’s waterfront, and take a canoe trip to a local park. One day, you’ll go swimming at a local pool, and finish the week with a field trip to Wild Waves!
Sports
Session 6 Grades 4 - 6
Kick, throw, run, and catch - join a special Sealth sports team for the week. Choose from soccer, football, ultimate Frisbee, volleyball, basketball, baseball, swimming, rugby and more! Learn basic skills, teamwork and cooperation, then head to a Tacoma Rainier’s game.
Grades 7-12
Classic Camp
Experience the independence, the choices, the things that you never thought you’d do – crazy, hilarious times and quiet thoughtful moments, too.
Expand your world with new activities, plus new spins on the favorites you grew up with, to create your own environment. Spend a week with counselors who will challenge you and share great times with you and your peers. Make lasting friendships, explore and share your own values and goals, while gaining a new sense of independence.
With your cabin group, design your own week after arriving at Sealth; individual choices and group decisions combine for a week you’ll always remember! In Village (grades 7-8), you’ll stay in cabins right on the waterfront; Horizon (grades 9-12) lives in rustic cabins near main camp.
Funyaking, team-building on the ropes course, Color Wars, beach fires, longer overnights or canoe trips are exciting activities reserved just for older campers. You could “sneak” a younger cabin group, or pitch in on a service project to earn the Service to Sealth award. Whatever you choose to do, you’ll love the environment, the choices and the challenges…all great times in Village and Horizon!
Specialty Sessions
Specialty camps allow you to spend more time on something you’re really interested in. Spend most of your time focusing on the specialty activity. You’ll get a chance to do some of the other traditional camp activities, too.

Arts
Camp Sealth Musical
Session 3 Grades 7 - 9
Get ready to put on a show! Focus on the performing arts and express yourself through theater games, dance classes, stage makeup, improvisation, karaoke and more. Finish the week by sharing your talents in a performance with your new castmates.
Fashion Designers
Session 2 Grades 7 - 9
Make your own fashion statement! Learn to sew and make your own clothes and accessories using tie-dye, hemp, batik, bead jewelry and knits. Show off your designs in a camp fashion show and photo shoot.
Photo
Session 4/5 Grades 9 - 12
Learn about shooting and composition, develop black and white prints in the darkroom, learn the basics of digital print editing, and create a slide show to share with the rest of camp. Round out the session with a field trip to take pictures and visit a professional studio. You’ll need to provide your own
camera, preferably a 35mm.
Spa Camp
Session 4 Grades 7 - 9
Spend the week focusing on YOU. This camp is full of pampering and relaxation as you make your own face masks, lip gloss, bath salts, lotions and soap. You’ll enjoy every minute, from aromatherapy to yoga!
Boating
Campers in Sealth’s boating programs live in the most unique housing unit at camp – teepees! Rustic and isolated from main camp, this unit tends to form a close-knit group of people. Spend your days on the water, and at night relax around the fire in the Kiwanis lodge.
Canoe & Kayak
Session 2 Grades 6 - 8
Discover the fun of canoeing & kayaking and what a better place to explore the water of the Puget Sound than Vashon Island! Two to three hours each day will be devoted to working with our qualified waterfront staff and counselors. This will include becoming comfortable with various paddle strokes, including the ‘C’ and ‘J’ stroke, understanding all the positions of being in a canoe & kayak, and partaking in ‘T’ rescues with other campers. Once you learn all the bases, the Sound will become ‘your oyster’. Travel to your overnight site with your canoes or kayaks, have a fun-splashed game of capture the flag on the water and even take a day trip to a nearby State Park. More details...

Session 7 Grades 8 - 10
Experience the thrill of rushing wind and water as you learn to windsurf with an experienced coach. Take hold of the rudder and learn to sail on Sealth’s boats. Take a sailing trip to a nearby park. Try out other waterfront activities for a truly wet and wild week. Windsurf & Sail campers live in Sealth’s most unique housing unit – the Kiwanis teepees! More details...

Advanced Archery
Session 8 Grades 8 - 10

Session 3 Grades 8 - 10
Explore Washington’s third largest natural freshwater lake, the surf of the Pacific Coast and the majestic forests of the Olympic National Park. Leave civilization behind for the week and learn basic backpacking skills on this wilderness adventure.
Cascades in Action
Session 6 Grades 8 - 10
Paddle the rapids of the Skagit River amidst the beauty of the North Cascades. Raft on Class III rapids, camp at a national park, and take a day hike in the mountains.
Geocaching
Session 8 Grades 8 - 10
Hunt for treasure the “new-fashioned” way. Before heading out, you’ll learn about Geocaching and practice using a GPS device. Then, venture into Vashon, Seattle, and other nearby areas to search for these hidden caches.
Leadership Focus
Session 8 Grades 9 - 10
Develop your individual leadership skills - learn about leadership styles, communication and goal-setting for yourself and the group. Experience personal and team challenges on a high ropes course, and plan and lead an All Camp Event. Leadership Focus will help prepare you for the CIT/RSIT program.
LIT
(Lifeguard in Training)
Session 7 Grades 9 - 10
Ever wanted to be a lifeguard? Spend the week on the water, shadowing the waterfront specialists. Learn to be a spotter, do shallow water rescues, T-rescues and more. Earn the Camp Sealth LIT certificate and take a canoe trip to a nearby park. Note: Participants will learn many components of a lifeguard training course, but will not receive actual certification.
Nocturnal
Session 4/5 Grades 9 - 12
Session 7 Grades 8 - 10
Have you ever wondered what happens when all is dark and world seems to sleep? Nocturnal camp offers a unique opportunity to explore the wonders of the night. Learn about nocturnal animals and birds and tailor your sleep patter to witness and participate in nocturnal activities. To complete the week, we’ll stay up for 24 hours and head to the Point Robinson lighthouse to watch the sunrise.

Survival Outback
Session 7 Grades 7 - 8
Put on your backpack and leave the rest of camp behind. Work on your outdoor living skills in Sealth’s primitive outback. Build on existing skills and learn more about fire-building, lashing, knots, orienteering, trail signs, outdoor cooking and more.
