WHO: Adult Camp Fire USA members, alumni and friends. Participants must be at least 18 and out of high school.

WHAT: Adult Weekend at Camp Sealth is a fun weekend with a choice of workshops and activities to enjoy with friends, old and new. Stay in heated cabins, have meals in Rounds Hall and walk the beach. We will be revisiting recycling inspired workshops, including steam punk jewelry and coffee can lights. Other workshops include garden art glass totems, a Vashon tour and healthy gourmet cooking.

WORKSHOP CHOICES
Some workshops require you to bring additional items. Please review both the workshop descriptions and your confirmation letter carefully for additional needs. Workshops are assigned in the order registrations are received. There are no guarantees on specific workshop availability.

  Antique Style Wood Burning: Wood burn vintage patterns on a small box and color with wood stain.  
  Barrel Stave Candle Holder: Make a candle holder from a barrel stave.  
  Beaded Fringe: Use seed beads to create a decorative fringe on a small amulet bag..  
  Brooches: Make 2 decorative pins: a zipper pin and a Kanzashi-style flower pin from fabric.  
  Cake Decorating: Decorate a 6” round cake using fondant, gum paste, icing & sugar paper. Basic skills required.  
  Camp Fire Training: Program training of your choice with Camp Fire staff. Note desired training on Registration Form.  
  Camp Hike: For those who would like to explore the many beauties of camp. Led by Camp staff.  
  Camp Service Project: For those who would like to give back to camp helping out. Project TBD.  
  Camp Tour: Camp Staff will lead you on an extensive tour of camp to areas you haven’t seen before or in a long time..  
  Coffee Can Light: Coffee Can Light: Make a hanging lamp from a can, including socket & wire. Learn how to wire.  
  Dry Erase Boards: Dry Erase Boards: Make a new or old picture frame into a functional dry erase board.  
  Embroidered Flower Pincushion: Make and embroider a pincushion made from fabric and felt.  
  Embroidery Hoop Baskets & Trivets: Turn old children’s t-shirts or leggings into small baskets or trivets.  
  Fleece Blankets: Make your own blanket using 2 pieces of fleece material you bring. No sewing required.  
  Fused Glass Mobile: Fuse recycled pieces of glass and assemble them into a mobile. (2 workshops)  
  Garden Art Glass Totem: Create a masterpiece for your garden or home using dishes and various glassware  
  Geocache Basic: Learn high-tech treasure hunting using your own GPS device or rental. Learn what it is & how to find it. Tour Vashon locating caches. (All day Saturday)  
  Geocache Advanced: Love geocaching? Take it to the next level learning different types. (Sunday morning)  
  Healthy Gourmet Cooking: Cooking demonstration of roast chicken dinner, with some prep-work participation opportunity and tasting for all.  
  Jazz Dance: A fun way to exercise. Learn easy steps of a jazz dance routine.  
  Loom Purse: Make a small knit purse using a Knifty Knitter Loom.  
  Mini High Heel Shoes: Create a set of mini high-heeled paper shoes to hold candy/small favors for your next party.  
  Outdoor Cooking: Learn different outdoor cooking skills including Dutch oven cookery, planking and other methods.  
  Outdoor Living Skills: Learn 10 essentials for planning a hike, including some survival skills (such as making a bow drill fire) and identifying edible plants.  
  Picture Flowers: Create a layered paper flower to display favorite photos or papers as a party decoration or gift.  
  Pop Can Tab Jewelry: Make earrings or a necklace using pop can tabs, wire and beads.  
  Recycled Magazine Bowls: Learn how to use pages from a magazine to make a small, colorful bowl.  
  Snowman on a Screen: Use simple embroidery to create a winter scene on a screen to hang on a wall.  
  SteamPunk Jewelry: Learn special metal techniques and combine them with new and used materials to create a piece of jewelry. (2 workshops)  
  Vashon Touristy Tour: Visit Vashon as a tourist - visit the lighthouse, find the bicycle tree, etc. (2 workshops)  
  Wine Glass Charms: Using wire, beads and charms, craft 6 wine glass charms to attach to goblet stems.  
  Yoga: Slow, gentle yoga appropriate for all ages/fitness levels/body types.  
 

Yoga: Active, flowing yoga using more movement and strength – may work up a sweat.
